Hello Volunteer Community,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that our long-time volunteer and
Bookshare Champion, Sandi Ryan, passed away last week. In addition to the over
600 books that Sandi contributed to the Bookshare collection, she also served
as a chair for the Iowa Commission of the Blind, and was a fierce defender of
braille education. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the
Bookshare Community. We send our deepest condolences to Sandi's husband, sons,
and their families. During this time of holiday reflection, we remember the
wonderful contributions of Sandi both as a volunteer and as a person and
welcome any memories you have of her over the years.
