Valerie and Judy,
I think you're both right. I checked my book history and it did renew, after
all. So, the problem appears to be how slow the Bookshare servers are. I
liked the good ol' days when I could just click on renew and the renewal
happened immediately!

Liz;
After you click on the renewal link, you have to click on your book title in
your queue, then click on it’s book history (it should have the new data
there; mine and Doug’s all did) and then go back to your queue and the renew
link should be gone and the book have the new date. Otherwise it still shows
the old date, even though it actually has been renewed.
HTH!

Hi,
I hope they get a real fix soon, too. I clicked renew, nothing happened.
I went to another area in Bookshare and then back into my checked out
books. The book was still there waiting for renewal.
Valerie, I'm glad you had better luck getting your book renewed.

The renewal link is only “broken” in the sense it does not disappear
immediately. If you click renew and look at the book history, your book
is renewed, and if you go back to your queue, the date has been updated
and the renew link is now gone. It is a pain to confirm with several extra
steps, but I just did mine and all is well with the extra hoops.
Hope they get a real fix soon!

Hi,
Just to let you know, the renewal link is broken again. I tried several
times to renew the book I'm working on with no response. I ended up
releasing the book and immediately checking the book out again.
