Soon, I will submit a couple books of stories collected from the magazine "Weird Tales." These lean more toward dark fantasy than adventure fantasy, but not always. Would you be interested in proofing one of those? Though you must realize that "soon" for me can be a couple weeks because I am easily distracted.

It's fine it was just a little bit weird looking at it. I did say that most of us on here are to a large extent bookworms so I understand completely. I think part of mine is I've been trapped in the house for nearly 5 months due to cancer and quite frankly if I don't find something to do I'm going to go insane. I've never liked being idle. I've got schoolwork I can do that there's only so much of that type of thing to do before that's completed and once that's completed I have lots and lots of free time on my hands. It was part of the reason I decided to volunteer with bookshare. I could do something I loved and still stay at home and work on it when I could physically speaking.

Probably me, Dasha! I am Valerie Maples and my husband, Doug, is also a volunteer. I am a series captain on some books and in other cases have bought books to add and also take on some tough projects that need eyes, so at any given time, I may have 5-10 books waiting for me by prior arrangement. If someone is dying to read a book with my name on it, write me, and I will try to get to it quicker.

I may be slow, but I am thorough and have bought hundreds, if not thousands of books to add as we are able.
Hope that helps!

Valerie

That's interesting. I've noticed several on the check out list that I would have taken except for the fact that they were held for other people. And I also noticed that there were sometimes upwards of five or six held for one person. Is this normal?
