Hi, Friends,
I recently purchased a book that I was eager to scan: Timmy's in the Well."
The book is by Jon Provost who played Timmy in the Lassie series for seven
years. The book details his years as a star on "Lassie," and the the issues
faced by himself and other child stars. I heard an hour-long interview with
Jon Provost and his wife Laurie Jacobson who assisted him with the writing of
the book. During the interview, both authors were interesting, soft-spoken and
extremely informative. This interview sparked my desire to read the book.
Now to my request. I have begun scanning the book and have found that the book
contains some script (oddly written) lines, a number of pictures, which makes
it difficult for me to read, and dates at the start of pages surrpounded by
dark borders, which mean they do not appear in the scan. I am asking if
someone else would be willing to scan this book in order to deal with these
issues; I could then validate a cleaner text.
I really feel sad when I discover a book that I cannot scan to present the book
in its true best form, but this book is one of them; I think it would need a
scanner with at least some sight who can deal with these concerns.
