You're welcome Kerri! I feel like it takes me a very long time to scan books
because I don't have a high speed scanner. I sometimes like to keep track and
with The Wrong Hostage I was able to do about 75 pages an hour, and this book
was just over 400 pages.

I was only able to do this one in a two day span because I had surgery and I
have to not do very much for a few weeks. Knowing this, I requested plenty of
books from the library that others had been asking for so I could keep busy
with that.

I use OmniPage 15 for the scanning/OCR program and I use an HP all in one
printer/scanner that was given to me because the printer part no longer works.
Before that I used a Memorex scanner that took about 90 seconds to scan each
page so then it was very, very slow scanning!

I scan about 20 pages, then OCR and proof them, then paste them into the rtf
file. I don't know any other way to do it. I don't have Kurzweil so I can't
help you out there at all.

With The Wrong Hostage I could only scan one page at a time because it was a
hardcover. I should have looked for the paperback so I could have done two page
at a time scanning.

Wednesday I should be able to submit a K.A. Applegate book that someone else
had requested.
