hey Dena,

Don't give up, smile.

What you need to do is again find an "easy" book.

Al Capone Does My Shirts, wink is one such book, smile.

Then, ask questions, smile.

We are really happy to help in any way we can and we didn't get as good as
we are without asking questions.

you got to realize, some of us on this list, Jim, myself, Kerry, Pratik,
Kelly Heartman and others have been at this game now for five years or more,
smile.

Hi all,

I thought I'd try an easy book to validate for the first time, but I'm
soooooo confused on how to start the process even though I looked on the
website and downloaded the information. I'm not the most savvy computer
user, but I thought I could try this. I feel very very very lost and gave
up on the book I was trying to work on. I feel overwhelmed by the process.

Thanks to all of you who do scan and validate the books. I've enjoyed
reading so many of the books!

Hi, Brian. Validation is only done by volunteers. We can't sort the
step 1 list of books by submitter. If you could let us know which
books are still awaiting validation, that might help us get to them
more quickly. I see 2 factors at play here. The first is that we
need more validaters. Another subjective factor in book validation
is that validaters often gravitate toward books they would normally
read. More scholarly books tend to move more slowly because there
are fewer validaters interested in those topics. In a perfect world,
all books would be validated with equal attention and speed. In
reality, that just doesn't happen. If you'll give us some idea of
books that have been neglected, I'll start on some of them once I
finish what I'm working on. Maybe others on this list will help you
too. (smile)
