Yes, I certainly took no offense to you using my first name. We're all very informal around here.

Hi Jess,

If you would like to do this, you could go ahead and submit your scanned
copy. You will need a validator, or proofreader, and I volunteer to do
that. If I see that your copy is better, I will recommend that it replaces
the one already in the collection.

If you want to do this, you should put BSO- before the title. BSO tells the
validator and the admin that it is meant to replace a book already in the
collection. BSO stands for better scan of.

If you do not feel comfortable doing this, you could consider it a learning
experience and move on without submitting it.

As for using first names on the list that is perfectly okay. We are using
your first name. (smile) I'm just another volunteer, so whether you decide
to submit it or not, you do not need to feel uncomfortable about it.

Hope this helps,

Sue S. (The S. is for Stevens)

Hi all,

I have scanned in "The Rape of Lucrece" by William Shakespeare.
This book is already in the collection and has received an excellent
rating - the only problems it has is that there is no synopsis, some
page numbers are in the middle of the sentences, and parts of the book
are double spaced. I have fixed these mistakes in my scanned copy,
which is sitting on my hard drive waiting to be submitted.

Earlier this evening, I read a post from Ms. ReNae that got me
thinking. For those list members that do not know what post I am
talking about, following is an explanation of what the post was about.
A girl by the name of Julia (I apologize for using first names, I
mean no disrespect) wrote requesting help with a Christmas novel. Ms.
ReNae responded to her request, informing her that unfortunately her
time spent scanning was a waist because the book was already in the
collection and had been given an excellent quality rating. After
reading the post from Ms. ReNae, I was wondering - is it worth it to
submit the book with the changes I made - or will it just be rejected?

Thanks,

Jess
