-I have read quickly through the New Volunteer Manual.
Again many, many thanks to those who worked on it,
especially the unpaid volunteers.

I noted the comment that at this time the
administrators do not have a way to notify validators
that a book they've validated has been returned to the
download page, so we are reminded to check
periodically if we don't see that the book has been
added to the collection. (If there is to be a
revision, I suggest that that paragraph be
highlighted, since it comes near the end of the
section and might be overlooked). Hopefully that will
happen some time in the future. Also, it would be nice
if when a validator releases a book because of
problems, he/she could add the reasons in the comment
field and it would go back with the book onto the
download page.

Is there any way to tell if the book that's been
returned to the download page by the administrator is
the validated copy or the submitted copy? Any symbol
or letters similar to the BSO that indicates
replacement copies?

lol--I chuckled when I read the item about the library
stamp. I've had to delete it in several books I've
validated. I'm glad that was included. It gives the
validator pause, because at first one isn't sure if
it's part of the copyright page or not. Then one
realizes what it is.

I have a couple of other questions that I'll send to
the manual team, but I hope the answers will be posted
here.

Again, many, many thanks for the clearly and simply
written manual.

Cindy
