The ideal solution would seem to be having the stripper as an option prior to retrieving the book. It could be a part of one's user's preference information set of information. I don't know if there are legal issues at play with this as the stripper might be licensed from some entity, or if BookShare has the programming resources available to make such changes. Part of the problem is that Bookshare seems to be very much on a monetary shoestring, and such proposed changes would require a good amount of programmer time say nothing of testing ane proofing that no bugs were inadvertently made. If Bookshare had the funding, a lot of things could be done. But financially speaking, Benetech isn't RFB&D with big donors.
