What segment of the bookshare world likes all the garble currently at the tops of pages? Just download a few books from the public site and you will get my point.

I think that "going slowly and deliberately" as you are is the only
practical approach.

First of all, not being in Palo Alto, we don't truly have a total sense of
what is and isn't going on. While I am concerned about the stripper, I am
even more concerned that it has nearly been 3 months since Marissa gave
her notice with no replacement hired.
Does this mean that funding for a replacementisn't in the budget or that
no one has been found.
If the former, then this would be a greater concern as unless Benetech
has the dollars to run BookShare, then nothing else truly matters.

Secondly, I doubt that flooding Gustavo or Janice with emails can bring
results. They know the problems but likely have their hands tied in doing
anything about it.

So Rui you are right in moving forward slowly.

Also, I'd like to remind listers that only a small portion of volunteers
participate on this list and our views may or may not reflect those of
BookShare users
That was mentioned by Marissa when the stripper was brought up for
discussion at a staff meeting.

So while my heart wants the stripper to stop stripping and be retired, I
also accept that this group is only a segment of the BookShare world.
