Amber, I highlighted your message since the part you pasted in didn't show for
me, and then I could see what year you said it kept showing up as. When I
highlighted it I could then see:
iooz
Does anyone know how I can get the copyright year?

Since loc.gov lists it as 2002 and your scan is iooz I'd really guess 2002 is
it. Probably you have one of those copyright pages that uses really tiny print
plus isn't nearly as nice as the rest of the book and that's the best the
scanner could pick up.
