Elizabeth,

Automating the lists has been suggested to the staff and ranks quite high in a majority of the tech advisors priority lists. It is not at this time high on BookShare's priority list so far as we know.

Automation would conceivably be easily accomplished.

Keep in mind that BookShare pays for software upgrades, and so while the upgrade will free up staff, it does require that they decide to pay for it.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] admin queue idea

Would this idea work for having a up to date admin queue?

Right now as a volunteer, I can bring up the list of books on step 1. I can also bring up the list of books on step 2 which I am working on.

When I approve a validated book it disappears from my step 2 list and goes to Gustavo. Would it be possible for that took totle to automatically go into a list call "admin queue"?

Anyone who is a volunteer can bring up that queue. Of course, nothing can be changed about it by any volunteer except that we all add our books automatically to it when we press the accept button to validate the book.

No human has to take the time to update the admin queue.

If a book is kicked back, when it appears back on step 1 ( or on my special step 1 kickeback list described before, the book's name automatically is removed from the admin queue list. Surely automating this is possible in programming and such programming will save scarce human labor by staff.
