Hi. This is probably unhelpful, but have you completely uninstalled the
program, downloaded the latest version and tried reinstalling? I do not
use Victor so I have minimal knowledge of it, but it is possible that
somehow your installation got corrupted. You did not indicate whether you
have completely uninstalled it first. Also, are you using a screen
reader? Does it matter if you use its own speech and turn off the screen
reader? Does it do this with all books or just some? Have you upgraded
the bookshare.org unpack utility? I know a new version came out awhile ago
and it is possible that it is required for Victor to keep working. Have
you recently changed your password? That should not matter but the unpack
program requires the correct password and maybe it embeds that somehow.
