Dear Booksharian friends,

Once I have a new accent in, Hush, figured out, the validation will be finished and it can join the collection. A 15 year old Irish princess is captured and gives a fascinating account of her travel and treatment as a slave. The story is straightforward, no convoluted plot, but you'll learn a wealth of information about tenth century Ireland, Russia and the Scandinavian countries and Iceland. You'll care about Princess Melkorka and be awed by the human ability to adapt and survive in what to us appear to be unbearable circumstances which can turn better or worse on a dime.

The problem is a character which looks like a lower case letter b in which the vertical line drops half a tall letter's length straight below the letter. In other words, a b standing on a straight leg. You can also view it as a lower case p with the virtical line extended half a tall letter's length above the rounded part. In combination it's like the rounded part of a b or p which look the same and rest on the line if it's written on lined paper. with the vertical part of a b extended above and the vertical part of the p dangling below. Please tell me the name of this accented figure and and as a bonus, how to make it.

I've saved a file a Booksharian sent me of how to make accents in Word 2003 using jaws, but couldn't find that character. I don't know how to Google it because I don't know what it's called.

Thanks for your help. I can't wait to add Hush to the collection. It's an absorbing story that moves fast, leaving fascinating factoids in its wake.

Always with love,

Lissi
