The impression that I get is that rather than shipping the hardcopies out to the outsourcers Bookshare scans them and the outsourcers proofread them. On the other hand, I think that some outsourcers must contribute some books themselves. Worth Trust has been contributing a lot of books of Indian literature lately and since Worth Trust is located in India it stands to reason that they are getting the books from India.
