Bud, There's no magic way of doing--except possibly hitting page down and then doing it. I should think that would be a little faster than if you were scrolling to the bottom of each page. I read the book and fix page numbers and the line spaces as I go along, as well as fixing other things, so the amount of time I take doesn't bother me. When I finish validating a book I do a final spell check and then, usually, unless the book is humongous, a final page-number check by using page down--which I hadn't noticed on the keyboard until someone here mentioned it. Invariably I find that I've either missed a page number or used the number twice (because I've been so involved in the story that I forgot). smile An alternative for you would be to submit but with a comment that you did check to be sure all the pages were present but you didn't add any line spaces before the number. If the validator chooses to read the book he/she will probably do that. If not , it's possible that some numbers will add themselves to the end of the last line or will be deleted, but as long as the page break is there and the text continues unbroken it's not the end of the world. The time you take to put it in, though, is indeed appreciated by the readers and validator. Cindy > I > just said that I submitted Final Jeopardy by Linda > fairstein.
