Hi Jill,

I haven't found a good way to determine the presence of extra tabs and
spaces just by listening. Maybe someone else has though.

If you are still using Kurzweil to edit, you can center text by first
selecting the text and then pressing control plus e. This pairing of
keystrokes will center the selected text.

To select one line of text, place your cursor at the beginning of the line
and press shift plus end. To select more than one line of text, place your
cursor at the beginning of the text that you want to center, and press shift
down arrow until you have heard all of the text spoken that you wish to be
selected, or in sighted terms, highlighted.

That said, I'm not certain if bookshare's tools preserve centering. I've
never tried it.

Mayrie

When scanning or proofreading, is there any way to tell when there are extra
spaces or tabs by just listening to speech? Also where do I find
instructions for centering? TIA. Jill
