I have occasionally seen copies of both Kurzweil and Openbook on
Ebay. I can only assume they are being sold by family members of
people who are either dead or ill beyond recovery. If you'll settle
for Kurzweil 8 or 9, you'll find those more often. Same thing with
Openbook Ruby and Openbook 5. Don't buy Ruby to work under XP
though. Save that for machines that run Windows 9x or maybe Windows 2000.

Sorry but I was referring to someone dying or no longer needing/wanting to use the program for any number of reasons including illness. That's why I used the work ghoulish but I find it no more so than donating ones corneas or heart when no longer needed.
