Hi James:
I had the same problem at first, there are instructions at comcast.com for setting up comcast with OE. It has been so long I don't remember what the solution was.

Hi,
I was trying to use Outlook with GMail, but was having trouble getting
Outlook to log onto the server. I could receive mail but not send it. If
anyone figures out how to set this up or already knows how, would you
please write me privately?

Thanks.

Jim

Hi Cindy:
I wrote to her privately, telling her if she wanted to use gmail for her
email it seems to work fine. I have Comcast as a internet provider and
gmail
for email, using OE. She wrote back to me saying she would look into it.
Now
she uses Outlook 2003 not OE, but wondered if gmail would work with
Outlook,
I don't know but would think so.
All the best,

Have any of you seen Mayrie's note of a day or two ago about the fact
that
she hasn't bee receiving most of the mail from these lists? Her mail
account is comcast.com (I suppose that's her server, too?) She's asking
if
anyone has been or did have a similar problem and how you solved it.
Please write to her at Mayrie ReNae <mrenae@xxxxxxxxxxx> or post here and

I'll forward your advice. All I could think of to tell her was to contact

comcast.

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

Yes, the spam filter just got turned offf yesterday, after
I have no
idea how long I've been getting only a tiny portion of
list mail. Still
broken as of now. Do you know what others did to fix this?

Mayrie

Mayrie,

Are you positive your spam filter is totally off? maybe it
got changed
inadvertently. Some email accounts delete mail without
putting it into a
spam filter.

Comcast has caused other people trouble in the past.
Several lists I sent
out bounced back and they were to comcast subscribers. It
finally got
straightened out, though.

Good luck.

Cindy
