Hi all,

Monica, there is no limit on how many posts one individual can make on this list. However, it may be a good idea if people read all or most of their mail before replying. I know I don't often do this, but with some of these threads which are extensive, it may be worthwhile reading your mail, seeing if anyone has said what you wanted to say, and then deciding if you really need to post.

One thing that may help is removing conversations between two individuals to private email. For example, once a person has reached somebody with whom they need to speak, taking the arrangements about individual books, individual errors, and so on to private email may help to solve the problem.

Obviously, if you have a problem that needs solving, and you think the whole list can benefit from discussion of that topic, by all means post it here. I admit it's difficult to tell sometimes whether a topic should or shouldn't be taken to private email. However, most of the time, we do a pretty good job of policing ourselves.
