Shelly,
I'm looking at Chicken Soup for the Unsinkable Soul. I don't know if it was a paperback book, but I can understand why its been released so many times. You've marked it as being excellent and a good scan. However, at this point, and without actually reading the book, I'd give it a good score. Here's why.

There are a lot of characters missing in the middle of lines. Perhaps you didn't push down on the binding as much as you should have when you scanned it.

If this is the second incarnation of this book, I wonder if you dodm
t fox the things, or if your changes did not take with this book.

When I scan a book, especially a paperback, I always check as I'm scanning for missing words. You can do this by spot checking each page. If there are missing characters on each line, if you're using k1k, just go to your bad page, and go to scan and replace the page. If you press down on the binding again, you should be able to replace these lines. If I had the book, I'd just do this as replacing each scanned page takes much much less time then it takes to figure out what each line says.

This may help others who have this same problem. I know its hard not to miss characters on lines, but by spot checking as you scan and spellchecking before submission, you can make the validator's jobs much easier, and save lots of time.

Shelly, do you have another version of this book that isn't missing a lot on each line? Any ideas here?

Ner
