Hmm. SOmethiing to think about. In any case, it' useful knowledge, and I thank you. I Cindy Wish List (i.e., books wanted added to the collection) and books-being-scanned list available at sites below Wish List: https://wiki.benetech.org/display/BSO/Bookshare+Wish+List Books Being Scanned List: https://wiki.benetech.org/display/BSO/Books+Being+Scanned+List --- On Sat, 8/1/09, Mike <mlsestak@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: Mike <mlsestak@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: more recently (later at night) updated boks-being-scanned list pdated 7/30/09 To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Saturday, August 1, 2009, 5:35 PM Most spreadsheets, Excel for sure, have a text to columns command. The problem is, you have to separate what you want in each column by some distinct character. If you were separating author, title, etc by something like commas or semicolons you could tell the text to columns dialog to separate everything for you, just cut from word processor and paste into spreadsheet, run text to columns and you've got it. Adding all those commas or semicolons would be a lot of work, though. Misha Cindy wrote: > I realized last night that to do the list on a spread sheet I'd have to start > all over.
