Hi Rachel,
It sounds like you're doing a wonderful job on this very difficult book.
Science and text books are the hardest to do because of pictures, charts and
graphs as well as their sometimes prodigious length.
After this you may want to scan something simple. <grin> If you do you'll
find that scanning isn't always such an overwhelming chore.
