Hi, Jill. Well, if you can be absolutely sure which is which, deleting the one 
you're sure is generated by the conversion from the scanned format wouldn't 
hurt, but you'd want to be absolutely sure you're deleting the right one, and 
if you're not, leaving them both won't hurt. Take care.

  Since this is my first attempt at validating, please bear with my questions. 
I am using MS Word and am seeing two sets of page numbers. I assume that one is 
the number in the book and the other is the number given by the scanner. Is 
this correct? Can I delete the number I assume to have been generated by the 
scanner or should I leave them both? TIA Jill
