Hi Sarah,
It isn't required to go out and do searches for copyright info, though some
volunteers choose to do so. Often all that's necessary is to copy/paste the
copyright page of the book into the comments field on the submission form.
Then re-upload your validated copy of the book, and hopefully that will be
sufficient.
Also, sometimes someone has accidentally misspelled the name of author or
copyright holder, and the admin sees this but needs a validator to correct
it.
