Good question about the double-single quotes and the single double quote. I just wrote both and I do not see (visually) any difference. It's easier, of course, to put a double quote because that's one keystroke instead of two. On the other hand, since, at least on my keyboard, one has to use the shift key to get the double quote, maybe it is easier for some people to double-click on the single quote key. But from what Mickey said, I wonder if what you'd hear is "apostrophe, apostrophe" instead of "quote." Question for those of you who listen to books rather than reading braille, if you don't mind answering -- Does the audio vocalize punctuation marks, or does it somehow interpret them and pause at commas, drop voice at periods, and emphasize bold and italic?
