Hi, Dan! Just a note about page breaks. Bookshare does require that all of
the text of a book be included, although one or two missing pages is
permissible... Definitely not preferable, though. <Smile> Concerning page
breaks, while books cannot be accepted without some of them, it is not
necessary for all of the page breaks to be there. Again, though, it is of
course preferable if they are. I agree with Cindy that it's probably a good
idea to see if someone else wants to validate a particular book before
rejecting it, especially if it's a pretty good scan. Having said that, as
Monica stated earlier, you are perfectly within your rights to reject a book
if it seems that the best option would be a re-scan. Also, when you get a
chance to tell us what tools you are currently using to validate books, we
may be able to give you some tips to make the process easier. Thanks for
your work, and happy validating!

Jana

                  Hi guys,

I just rejected this book due to it missing half the page breaks and there
being no way to tell where the missing breaks should be placed. I was
saddened to do this too because it sure looks like an interesting read. If
there had only been something like page headers/footers or page numbers so I
could tell where the breaks should go I could have done that manually. It
looks like the book was scanned by scanning double pages without using
double page scanning mode or something.

If the person who submitted it would like to try scanning it again I'd be
very happy to validate it again.

  Thanks.
