Thanks Pam, I assume it would be best to do the find and replace in a word processor like Word, not in Openbook itself?

Select the screwed up quotation marks or apostrophes. Once one is
highlighted, copy it to the clipboard. Then do a find and replace,
pasting the offendding mark in the find, and write a quotation mark or
whatever in the replace, and let 'er rip.
