Kim for most purposes, if I am reading in braille, I too use the .brf file. The only exception is where I am reading a text where I want the word to expand to grade one if I put my cursor on it. A .brf file does not let me do that with a word. I might want this to happen if I am reading a dictionary or some other kind of technical book. I may want to use the daisy book on the braille display if I am reading a computer related book and want to avoid any glitches caused by the braille translator. So you might say I use daisy and make it readable on a braille display if I want the "native" or "original" book with no input from the braille translator program. E.
