Hi Everyone,
I'm scanning a book for a college student.
Question 1. Each chapter's page numbers start with 1 as in 1-1, 1-2 for
chapter 1 and 2-1, 2-2, for chapter 2, etc.
When entering the page count during the submission process does one just
total the pages from all the chapters including the blank ones at the end of
each chapter and enter that total as the page count?
Question 2. The symbol for greater-than (ASCII character 62) > is used in
some tables. It's not a garbage character but actually the symbol used in
the print text. What should I do with this symbol? Spell out the word
greater-than when it comes up? Replace it with some other valid symbol and
put a note about it?

P.S. We just got back from Cancun. My partner and I and another blind couple
were sitting at a table in a very chic restaurant and Monica and her husband
saw us and came over and introduced themselves to us. What a nice surprise.
Of course we discussed Bookshare! This is the Monica who just wrote a note
of condolence to Valerie. Incidentally, as a blind user I appreciate the
book Moon Cancun and the Mexican Riviera which I downloaded from Bookshare.
In it I discovered one excellent restaurant and a German bakery in Playa del
Carmen! Before my Bookshare days (before 2010) I would travel as a passive
participant with my sighted partner picking out where we should go. With
Bookshare I am an active member of the team! Thank you Boookshare!
