In 1996 Bert Hellinger was invited by the Österreichische Gesellschaft für
Psychoonkologie (~Austrian Society for Psycho-Oncology) to work with cancer
patients. One basic assumption for their founding was to keep the potential
psychosomatic cause also for the appearance of cancer in mind. Bert held a
three day workshop, which was documented in the book "Schicksalsbindungen bei
Krebs" (~"Fate and Entanglement around Cancer" (loose translation of the title
by myself) and on video. I believe it was never published in English.
I scanned through it again and found two interesting general statements he made:
'It is interesting that the illness often stands for an excluded person. When I
bring the excluded one back into the picture, the illness does not need to
represent him or her anymore. This provides a healing effect.' (page 64)This is
of course not a new observation, but in almost everyone of the 20 constellation
the issue was a person that has not been acknowledged, no other issues came up.
'In a lot of cancer patients, especially the ones with breast cancer, I have
observed that they are able to give, but not to receive. First and foremost
they refuse to take their mother. The healing step would be to take the mother
and bow in front of her.' (page 101)

Hello All,
Can anyone offer information based on their experiences with dynamics
they have seen behind tinnitus (ringing in the ears) or breast cancer
(especially when it recurs after treatment)?
