Chris,
Regarding the demo: I also may make an observation: " The mother is being
pulled out of the family" or "The parents seem unavailable". I usually wait
until I have placed them in the new order, and then see if that move
changes any impressions that I have begun to get. Sometimes the move to a
good order shifts things in a positve way. I also may put the client in her
place at that point and let her experience this new image of her family.
Sometimes, rearranging the order does not change things for a parent, and
then the entanglements mother or father have are more apparent to all. One
time, I had the clear impression that one of the sibs was quite ill; when I
asked, the client said her sister had cancer. So, the demos serve to show
the power of the work, what is revealed as well as the internal shifts that
a client may feel even after a brief demo like this. Would love to hear
what others experience with these. all the best, sheila
