I have also study for over ten years with Alejandro Jodorowsky, and I apply
many of his suggestions, teachings to my work in constellations. One of the
most important things I have included is a thoroughwork and analysis of the
geneaolical tree for 4 generations. Acts of psychomagic, together with
Birth Massage are great support for healing work.

I've read many Jodorowsky's books and took a training in "Psychomagic" with
one of his autorized "disciples".
About the books I suggest to read "Metagenealogía" (I supossed could be
"Metagenealogy" in English), because is a kind of "compendium" about his
work.
In fact, his principles are very similars to Hellinger´s, but I think they
don't "love" each other so much (when Jodorwsky was at Lima-Peru, he said
"I work decades from now, before this "planets-weird-things" " (refering
about constellations, of course).
When I feel could be helpful, I "prescribe" some psychomagic ritual to my
client, with interesting results. I remember one case: after the private
constellation session, I ask the client to write a letter to his ancestors,
with thankfulness, and sharing with them how (even all the pain suffered by
them), life came to him, to his kid; I suggested to tell'em about his wife,
about his child, his school, his friends, his toys, etc. After that, a
ritual to "let it go"... and that's all.
When my client get home, the nanny told him: "Mr. X, it was so strange....
half an hour ago, Alejandrito (his kid) stopped playing and ask me write a
letter to his "grannys" that are in heaven, asked to me to write about
dad/mom, about his school, his friends, his toys...."
Almost, word by word, what I asked to my client to write!
A few days after that, not only the client's issue was solved, but also the
behaviour of his son become more peaceful.
Well; I hope this little experience could be interesting for this thread.

Some of you may be familiar with Alejandro Jodorowski, the maverick
Chilean filmmaker, actor, tarot reader, zen teacher, martial artist, and
psychotherapist. I only recently discovered his work. The therapy he has
developed, which he has called 'Psychomagic' is an interesting blend of
shamanism, analytical/depth psychology, psychodrama/theatre, and
intergenerational contextual approach. In the latter particularly, theres
some lines of connection with constellation work. What I think is relevant
is this is coming from quite a different angle, and using a different
methodology, but employing similar principles. I'd love to hear if anyone
else incorporates any of these approach into their work.
