Dear Wilfried - Many of us far-flung facilitators live and work in
communities where Constellations are virtually unknown. We sit down in a
circle with many people meeting us and encountering the process for the very
first time. We encourage them to present the most serious problems in their
lives - and then we show them how these issues connect to even more
unbearable events from the past - wars, abuse, suicides, murders, exiles,
and so on. We sit with them in the face of these past atrocities and
injustices and the current suffering that plagues them. Then we empty
ourselves of what we know and trust the Constellation itself to "know" for
us.
Between the vastness of human agony and the whisper that is our own being,
we seek to create something good that will ease the client's burden and open
the hearts of those in her system. No wonder we sometimes feel uneasy about
missing something important.
This group is a forum for questions, sharing, and supervision. To answer
your question, "What are you doing when you discuss a case in the net? What
is the influence on the field, on the client, and on your self?" I think we
are receiving valuable support from our colleagues, teachers, and peers.
The influence is beneficial. Here we have teachers standing behind us and
peers standing with us. It serves our clients and our selves well to
discuss our cases with respect and share our fears and experience.

about one point:
What are you doing when you discuss a case in the net (or if you discuss it
at all)? What is
the influence on the field, on the client, and on yourself?
Of course we can discuss methodological questions and use certain cases as
illustrations.
But it is something else to discuss a case and it's meanings in the net. To
me a
constellation is finished when it is finished. Each and every considerations
or
interpretations afterwards are weekening: How can a client trust the
constellation or take
the picture in if the facilitator starts discussing, doubting, interpreting,
or asking others
for interpretation? Whatsoever somebody else contributes to this
constellation is not
helping the client or the therapist.

I agree with not judging but I would like to add to that: you have to be
able to discern certain between movements or images before you can act on
them. For example: you have to know whether a person is looking at
or looking away from something. Just like you have to understand ifsomeone
is feeling bigger than someone else, or what age a person looks in athe
constellation, or what relationship shows up, more like a parent child or
more like partners. And whether it is a movement of the conscience or of

I have a question about what it means in a constellation when someone is
slowly turning around and around as if looking in all directions? Someone
once said that it is an indication of a perpetrator and if that is so, can
someone explain it to me? For instance, does it mean that person is
representing a perpetrator or is looking for one? Also, what is an
appropriate response? I have had this show up in three separate cases
recently and though I was able to reach resolution, I find myself feeling
uneasy that I might be missing something important.
