Hello Maria and All,
Very pleased to hear that the Sydney peer group is back and thriving. I
will certainly let some friends know about it now. Do you meet monthly?
Would there be one in Melbourne? It is a great resource and I completely
support the peer practice approach.
Best wishes,
Robert

Hi Robert, Denis and All.
I'm not sure what you mean Robert that the Sydney group has "faded out
some time ago". Maybe we have been quiet recently on constellation talk,
but we have an active and ongoing peer support group in Sydney that has
been meeting for 3 years? At times it has slowed down as these things
often do, but it has been continuous and is once again thriving. You would
be greatly welcomed if ever you decide to join us
I have been wanting to respond to you Denis in regards to your questions.
My approach is mostly to be present for the client and then trust the
field and the clients questions and moves etc. The danger can sometimes be
that we may think that we as facilitators need to “fix” their problems and
became too concerned for them. I know for myself that when I become
concerned about the client, that this is my issue and not theirs.
I heard Hellinger say that when the facilitator is very concerned about a
client to "Close your eyes and see your client in front of you and then
withdraw your concern and just stay Present". That really spoke to me …
because if I become too concerned, then the client will pick that up and
assume that to be a part of their own "problem”.
Carl Jung said : "Learn your theory well, but put it aside when you touch
another human being". So Denis, trust your knowing , care and presence and
the group intelligence will be there… The more I think that I know what I
need to do , the more I will block the guidance and “solution” for the
client.
Thank you for the posts, its really great to hear different points of view
, knowing that there is no right or wrong , only our own perceptions. Warm
regards Maria (Sydney)

G'day All,
At the end of Nov. co-facilitating a program called "The Vets Journey
Home". It is the first time in Australia for this cultural adaptation of a
successful USA program which now serves Paramedics & other emergency
services as well as Vets.
I am wondering if any of you have worked with Vets and / or PTSD and have
anything like processes or experiences that you might share.
In discussions with my US piers I am given to understand much of the work
is listening and then facilitating an often powerful and deeply emotional
process for an each individual when they arrive at the place of being
ready.
I "feel" there could be some healthy appropriate way to apply
constellation work yet I seem to have a mental block as to how that might
be. Unusually for me I seem to be stuck in the place of "I must get this
right for the participants"....:-)
Sooooo Help please. I'm really interested in what you have to say, even
if it is simply stretching your imagination and general experience to
looking outside the box for something that might benefit these people.
Many thanks
