Ulrike,

When I started studying this work in 1999, I attended all of the workshops that I could reach, both in the US and in Germany; with Bert and with those faciliatators that had been with him for 10-15 years already. I also read all of the books available in English and watched all of the videos available in English (they are much cheaper to buy now than they were 8 years ago); many of these videos are from early days in the work and the foundations of family constellations can be seen quite clearly in them. This was all extremely valuable. There is also a wealth of information in the 7 or 8 editions of the Knowing Field, and also many articles available online, on the many websites now serving the constellation community. Chris has many of these webaddresses listed on his site, and when one actually looks at theml, one finds volumes of written descriptions of the work as well as articles on a wide variety of issues in constellation work.

When I began faciliatating in 2001, I nonetheless embarked on a very steep learning curve as I entered the constellation as a faciliatator rather than as a representative. This demanded more presence and more concentration as I learned to attend to the client, the group, the constellation itself, the representatives and also continue to notice what was happening in me. Constellation Talk has shown itself to be a useful forum for discussion of difficult issues, and perhaps you also have found that someone or several participants in the forum resonate with you as well; and you may ask them if they are available for supervision as you find the need arising.

I have much information that I have gathered over the years, and after the US conference scheduled for Oct., I plan to place my focus on the organization of that material. I am hoping to provide a useful contribution to those who have had less access than I have been fortunate to have.

All the best to you in your work, and warm regards to the group. sheila

Thanks, Dianne,
for the notice about the meeting on the 29th of May. As many of us I won't
be able to be in Europe at that time. But I am very keen to hear what is
talked about and in particular what, if any, conclusions are being made on
the issues Hunter mentions in that invitation.
Is there anybody out there, who is willing to inform those, who cannot be
there, of the essence of the meeting? Or maybe the minutes in case there are
some taken can be put onto this forum?

For me personally the geographical distances (Australia to Europe/USA and
also within Australia) have a impact on my practice. Right now I struggle to
find a way to access regular supervision by a practitioner, who is more
experienced than myself. I am sure other people have similar issues.

I wish you a fruitfull and enriching discussion for the meeting.

With gratitude to the Constellation community
Ulrike
