Perhaps this might interest you; Marianne Franke was a schoolteacher and
successfully worked with the school environment in Germany for 25 years.
Currently she is a psychotherapist and has systemically orientated
groups with teenagers.
Personally I have been working with two teachers systemically and via
supervision work they have been able to look at their own issues and
cultivate a respect for things as they are and recognize that there is
nothing that can change said destiny. By participating in the guided
learning, they have been able to develop a "wider lens" for their
students and their parents. As one mentioned recently, this approach is
encouraging because it has helped him to recognize the student's
dynamics and respect it. In this particular case without ever
addressing it to the student, and by his shift of attitude towards her,
the tension markedly subsided between the two of them.

Thank you for detailing your experience with the school administrators.
I too can only imagine the obstacles to using this work with this
population. Nevertheless, I think it is worth pursuing to see of some
controls can be attached to the process. Your suggestion of querying the
German practitioners is a good one and I will follow up on that. I'll
report on the feedback I get!
