I was suggesting cranio-sacral for the child. There are people who work
specifically with babies.

Sounds to me like the baby was traumatised (and the mother too
probably!).
It seems like the first priority is to deal with the crisis situation
and
help both mother and child. For the baby, I know that cranial sacral
therapy
can be very helpful with early trauma, particularly birth trauma. It may
help the mother, (and thereby the child too indirectly) to set up
herself,
the trauma and the baby as a constellation and look at the possibility
of
repetitive trauma in her own life.
The other approach which I know less well but have heard good reports
about,
is the energy work of Fred Gallo. Maybe others can provide more
information
on that. Franz Ruppert has also done a lot of work with trauma and has a
book which is about to be published in English. Vivian Broughton of
Constellation Work Trainings in the UK would be the contact person if
you
are interested in that.
