I strongly recommend Rupert Sheldrake's latest book called "The
Sense of Being Stared At" for anyone interested in knowing about morphic
fields and the scientific research. It is very readable and most
informative.

There is a video where Rupert Sheldrake, Hunter Beaumont and Bert Hellinger
discuss some of these ideas - probably available from Carl Auer. There is
also a discussion between Hunter Beaumont and Ruper Sheldrake on morphic
resonance and the history of the word 'soul' in issue 2 of the Systemic

Finally, I must honor my partner, Annalea, who took to this work like
a duck to water when I introduced her to it after we met 4 months ago.
Doing our own Constellations, healing rituals and reading Hellinger
books have become our daily spiritual practice and we are now
developing a healing process for couples which I would like to
describe and gain feedback from on at a later time this forum.
To continue my introduction, I am (Heinz) 57 years old, born and
raised Irish Catholic in New York City (looking out my tenement
window, I would gaze longingly on the Cloisters way up on the hilltop
of Fort Tryon Park.) Hence I resonate very well with Uncle Engel
Bert's priesthood and fully grok the rap on him as so "dogmatic and
Catholic!" (I mean, why does he have to look so damn genial all the
time and thus like a new benevolent German Pope?)
Having run many lapses as a Catholic after attending RPI, a secular
engineering college in upstate NY, my most memorable lapse was diving
into the anthroposophical ideas and work of Rudolf Steiner (1861-
1925) three decades ago. (I have most recently been a teacher at a
Waldorf school in Los Angeles where I taught high school physics and
math for the last two years.)
So with my background in science, Catholicism and anthroposophy
(BeJeezus then, how many of me beleagured ancestors must I be carrying
systemic water for?), I bring quite a squinty-arse perspective to this
Dago-Bert or is he Bertram Hellinger. (He's gotta be some species of
...-Bert, right?)
My main concern is how does this incredibly healing SOUL work of
Engel-Bert Hellinger mesh with the perpendicular (i.e. independent)
SPIRIT work of Rudolf Steiner, et al., which posits re-embodiment,
Wiederverkoepferung, wherein the human SPIRIT plunges into a family
SOUL system with entanglements that may exist BEFORE entering the
present family system?
Now two months ago, during a lull between constellations in Pasadena,
I asked that Happy Hunk Heinz 57 Stark point blank (actually stark
blank!)about reincarnation. He answered in a curt pert Bert
manner: "we don't go there."
Wunderbar! I thought. Render to Caesar what is Caesar, etc. and I
respect keeping the two apart. After all, traditional Hellinger work
operates only along the horizontal axis of the Soul and must needs
ignore the vertical Spirit dimension.
But lately I have heard some scuttlebutt about Pope Bert that he has
either gone off the deep end into paranoia because of the severe and
hysterical opposition to him in the Fatherland or else has actively
embraced the self-evident reality of reincarnation and is slowly
incorporating such formerly rejected spiritual ideas into his soul
constellation work.
I don't know and I'm too new at this to judge. However, I did come
across his newest webpage, which he shares with his new wife Sophie.

"Hellinger School" indeed! BeJeesuz Christ almighty, I'd love to go
to some kind of Hellinger School, any Hellinger school, but I feel
like I'm in a time warp because just about all the Hell-n-back-er
books and articles I've read are at least 5 years old. And this
movement is so alive that all the soul ground and boundaries are
shifting under my feet and I ain't talking the Big One in LA, neither!
I'm having earthquakes in the soul every damn constellation I do or
witness or represent. But then I'm finding that my soul repairs itself
after each quake. Imagine having self-repairing earthquakes. (No fault
earthquakes, anyone? Nyuk! Nyuk! Nyuk! (Latter a reference to Curly of
the 3 Stooges triple Amen)
Thus I'm hoping that y'all good people on this mailing list might be
able to get me updated as to the latest developments in this
burgeoning vocation to the healing arts.
So may I end this missive with a question inspired by Maria Sophie's
Spruchwort (proverb):
"Gehen mit dem Geist & Gehen mit der Seele".
"Go with the Spirit and go with the Soul."
Clearly there's a difference here, not to mention a "differance."
Might we open a discussion about what Pope Bert and now Sophie mean by
the Spirit and the Soul and how such insight into the differences and
similarities will inform the constellation work?
