This article in the newspaper really made me once again realize how
connected we are to our ancestors and to each other.

This is the story of some paintings dumped into a trash can by the landlord
after the owner died, rescued by an antique dealer, kept in storage for
decades, brought and placed in the antique store's backroom floor and -
well, read the story. It's like a living constellation rather than a virtual
one.
We use terms like "Serendipity" to cover inconsistencies between what we
believe and what we see and experience in life. Wouldn't it be fun if,
instead, we took the serendipity as a challenge to long-held beliefs that
might lead to a whole new synthesis? What kind of a world would we be living
in then?
