I enjoyed the discussion and like to put in my two cents worth.
Fate
Fate is what ever has happened. I don't know all the reasons and
causes, It becomes a distraction to figure them all out. All I know
that giving it a place in my heart moves love along in time and
maturity.
I use the word in constellations as I see it helps the represented
soul find a place in it's heart for the "unagreeable" experience
(loss, hurt etc.). Allowing the intellect to rest on a completed
object allows for the movement that was withheld from completion by
the individual soul.
Destiny
There is only one destiny for everyone. You can't have two destinies.
It is inevitable. Though I can't foresee it logically or define it
intellectually, I know it does exist in the timelessness where I am
always my father's son. I do have a sense of it, a relationship with
it. it is mysteriously there.
How can I tell if my actions change an outcome? There is no knowing
of what would have happened if I hadn't done what I did. I can only
influence the apparent or expected outcome by my actions. I every
point of decision I will do only one thing.
Choices or responses to life, inner and outer, are my responsability
that lead to my destiny.
It was helpful for me to be faced in a constellation with someone
representing "my Destiny". I moved to a deeper trust to participate
in the direction my life was going.
