Dear Colleagues.
Yes, Muchas Gracias. I feel we are much in tune with each other on
this subject.
Constellations have effected my health and more, but this has been a
signpost to a major change in my practice. We are in a System, a
'System of healing'. I shall try to explain what I mean by this.
I write to you while engaging in two practices to transform/transmute
energy trapped in my body. The transmutation is through another person.
Also this morning I have faced the sun and done some daily ritual, it
was very powerful and needed. (Strangely I moved a few months ago to a
place where I have a direct sight of the sunrise.)
I recently wrote an article about the shift in my practice. I
discussed this article with an editor, about how I was using this
shift also to work on my health, he made the comment that
"Constellations have killed facilitators". I was taken aback with his
comment, and the certainty of it. But it seemed true.
Starting a while back, I became curious about what happens after a
workshop and why some clients seemed to move forward and others not. I
started to see a different Constellation, a "System of Healing" where
the Constellation I had facilitated in the workshop was part of a
'bigger' System. A metaphor is seeing a Constellation as a tree,
usually we just see the tree. But if we move up we can see the
forrest, which is a bigger system or Constellation. In this
Constellation at a different level, some aspects that are more clear
are the original Constellation, the client and/or their system, me as
facilitator (now my role has become clearer) and the 'great unknown or
what is', and the daily lives of clients. Now we can see how these
parts relate to the original Constellation.
Now I see clearer that the Constellation at the workshop is just a
start, the Constellation seems always there, it remains, and how the
client heals or digests or moves forward into their life seems
dependent not just on their family system, but also on the 'System of
Healing', including the position and attitude I take as facilitator
after the workshop and my relationship as facilitator with 'what
is'. And in this System is also my health.
My partner, in love and at work, put me in touch with people who can
read energy in our bodies, but they do much more than that, things I
do not understand. So if we work with energy in Constellations, it is
a great benefit to see the energy in our bodies. That way we can
start to work on this in our practice. I think this is an ethical
standpoint, to keep understanding what you are doing and how you
effect others. So I am told that I have energy trapped in my body,
like a layer of glue, that stops me receiving healing, and this layer
they say comes from my therapy and constellation work because of the
way I practice and the position I take. It took me a while to digest
that.
But I find that this energy does not shift and the healing they offer
does not get though completely, although some of it is very effective
and helps me in life and work. ( The negative effects of
Constellations have been on my health, pre-cancer and body blockages,
things western medicine struggles to see, and in my relationships) But
these people have given me a great gift, a signpost, it bringing my
awareness to this energy in my body. I constellated my relationship
with this glue energy and the constellation (I am still looking down
on the forrest, and one of the elements is a constellation within this
constellation) this led me to a new relationship with 'what is', and
to take my place after the constellation more clearly, and untangling
myself from getting in between the client and their Constellation ,
because it seems that it was in this position of being in the way,
where I was collecting this energy, and this is related largely to my
relationship with 'what is'.
Three days later I received another healing, this time it got through
and I mostly have been experiencing it ever since. As others have said
in this thread, the emotion that comes up in this healing is fear.
Lately my partner has been asking repeatedly 'why are we doing this
Constellation work? why don't we have a simpler life?' I feel this
question is coming from the bigger system, through her. Why are we
doing this? If the answer that comes back 'because of pride, because I
feel I am good , because it gives some special position' it may be a
sign that you are taking a certain position in the System of healing
that may not be good for you, or maybe your clients. But if the answer
comes back that I am not sure but it feels like I am on my path and it
doesn't make me big or small, but about the right size and in tune
with the bigger system, I like that.
Though understanding my family system energy better I find I carry
much pride. This is the pride that says 'I am right and you are
wrong'. So we might collect energy in our bodies from Constellations
when we are so sure, or when we give advice, or spend more time in the
field. These are all things I would like to explore. Because if we
think systemically, then how we are in the System effects the other
parts, and our clients.
So now I work on how I can limit the creation of this energy in me and
clear what I collect. But we must be careful here. Energy always
exists, so if we let go of something or our clients do, where does it
go? And the experience of energy shifting in their body can seem
overwhelming. I am much more in touch now with my clients after their
Constellations, so I am now more aware of their experiences. We may
like to think it returns to the right place. And how might we
influence that, unawarely?
I am starting to notice the effects on working with this 'system of
healing'.
1. My role is clearer and the role of the person coming to the
workshop and their family is clearer. It leads to some new practices
in the Constellation.
2. When clients see how they relate to their Constellation it opens
new possibilities, some find the Constellation is actually blocking
them, some find that they have replaced their issue with the
Constellation, so nothing has really changed. Or that this opens a
window to why they struggle to heal, sometimes that leads to a
Constellation that is very important for them.
3. It has opened up a door to see how Constellation work relates to
daily life, where we can see if there is flow, as I take Bert
Hellinger to mean by 'success', where an inner movement connects with
an outer movement. The outer movement I take as our daily, practical
lives, it includes the lives of our clients and our health as
facilitators. It is all connected in the bigger system.
4. Clearing practices and letting go and returning to our positions
afterwards are more obvious now.
5. Preparation of the working space and recognising the great unknown
to guide me is much clearer. It is ironic that trying to understand my
place and relationship with the 'mystery' have led me to receive more
support from it and yet I have even more respect for it. This is very
interesting, as what I find is that if I just have respect for 'what
is' or respect the wind or the trees, I am still stuck in relating to
things as an object. Does the wind respect me? Is it two way. When I
make this shift then I find I can receive more support and guidance
from all, everything is a teacher. It is a gradual change, the road
is long. I find it is easier to relate to 'what is' in the future as
there I am less likely to confuse it with my ancestors. Though 'what
is' seems to exist in and out of time, and in its energy of compassion
everything is equal, from the grain of sand to the mountain, so it
changes Family Constellations, they seem less heirarchial, strangely
less restricted by the human system, less relying on order, all are
important, the healing can come from unexpected places.
Thanks to Chris Walsh for making this sharing possible.
Fondly.

With my limited understanding, I do my best.
