Hi everyone,
I just want to add my appreciation of the conversation regarding depression, Hania's latest mail just gave me the kick to take the time to write: what seems an important part that so far has not yet been mentioned: depression in my experience can be in some circumstances very well the healing- not the illness:
taking time to be quiet, not doing anything but let the body mind soul work it out.
I have seen some people coming out of "depression" after a period of time just by themselves, no medication, therapy or whatever. In 2 cases they simply went to their mothers, told them to please take care of them, went to bed, stayed there for weeks one, for months the other, and one morning woke up and continued with their lifes.
That could add some food for thought to what many said already: depression has many different sources (and faces).
We certainly do well if we treat them in looking every time fresh in what might be needed. A good start indeed could be to use a different word for what is presented, as Hania suggested.

Thank you all involved for the good conversation, Sneh
