Hi, again. I thought of another aspect of co-facilitation to add to the list.
It seems a common observation that different facilitators will bring out
different aspects of a constellation. While the main themes may (or may not)
end up the same, the path through the field, the elements chosen or focused on,
the issues dealt with and how well, can vary quite a bit. It seems as though
each facilitator, client, representative, and issue has its own energy
signature or a unique combination of more accessible and less accessible
facets. So, it shouldn't be surprising that co-facilitation adds yet another
piece to that mix.
Add to that the more practical observation that different facilitators have
different skills, different things they focus on, different preferred
approaches, etc.
In this way, co-facilitation can add depth or breadth to a constellation, and
it can probably create more confusion as well, depending on the mix of
facilitators.
So I overall guess I might say that co-facilitation has some great potential
bonuses over a single facilitator, but that the potential down sides are also
real and need to be weighed or watched for.
