Happy New Year! I deeply appreciate the miracle of having so many
teachers come into my home via this conversation forum, and Chris's
generosity.
Several times I have been wrestling with a question; trying to
formulate and clarify my question to submit to the chat. I would
open my email and the answer would be there via the observation of a
contributor on Constellation Talk. Even more often, someone else has
expressed a greater clarity regarding a question and that clarity has
nurtured within my understanding an answer. This has been so helpful.
Thank you Cristina for bringing the topic of health related suicide.
Assisted suicide & suicide as a decision for medical reasons is one
topic that brings to the fore that we are not all working in the same
countries. Laws in different countries are quite different in regard
to this issue; personal, familial & cultural philosophies can also be
varied.

I also respect deeply your challenge and commitment, Christina
walking with your client for a time -on her journey. Perhaps that is
the calling of a healer, or a human being, irrespective of discipline.
Regarding laws, policy and psychotherapy, as of Dec 2007 there is
still great effort to have America Psychologists unequivocally
condemn torture and participation of psychotherapists in torture.

but it gives an overview of the evolution of the issue.
From a practical standpoint I have learned so much from the
combination of personal experiences and questions as well as the
sharing of resources. I support the avoidance of using the site for
self-promotion, but have appreciated the recommendations of books and
websites for expanded exploration. (Particularly some of the
resources shared by Angwynn regarding shock and trauma)
Gary, thank you for the Hopi encouragement and challenge going into
the New Year, and I appreciate the subsequent sharing of others.
Heather's facilitating opportunity for support of Ginny in her health
crisis and healing was a palpable reason to suppose that the highest
good can come as we each find our way.
Ellen, thank you for bringing Cristina Essen's description, and the
river into the conversation this winter. As I see some places here
up north where the waterways are frozen I am reminded that things are
always changing, and sometimes when we cannot see the motion- it is
just beneath the surface, and that gives me hope.
Thank you.
All My Relations,
Francesca
