Thank you Tyrone. I will look for these titles today. How may I find the
Knowing Field bulletin? I believe I had information on the Systemic Solutions,
but did not know it had changed.
Thanks - Trish

I hadnât heard of Bert saying that if this work only stays in the medical
field it will die⦠as Trish reports. Makes sense to me though. As an
organisational consultant who came across the Orders of Love about 8 years ago,
before Gunthard Weber and now others translated their work on organisations
into English, I spent a long time exploring how the orders might be different
in company contexts than in families. I benefited from the thoughts of other
consultants as well as family therapists in this area. In the UK, we also have
a journal that is about 3 years old in which practitioners from different
disciplines can write about their work (It used to be called The Systemic
Solutions Bulletin, but I think is now renamed The Knowing Field). Personally,
I benefited a lot from Gestalt writing on field theory during my early years of
exploration in organisational constellations, as well as books like Robert
Fritzâs âCorporate Tidesâ, Peter Sengeâs work on âThe Fifth
Disciplineâ and âPresenceâ and obviously, Sheldrakeâs work in the
biological sciences. In the UK now, we are starting to see growth of real
interest in organisational constellations. Weâre even having our first
conference on organisational applications later this year. If anyone is
interested I can share details. For me as an organisational practitioner, I
felt particularly excited about the development of Bertâs Orders of Helping
â it was materials I could apply more directly without translating it for
managerial ears (talking about âThe Orders of Loveâ in organisations was
never easyâ¦).

Dear Trish,
Thank you for bringing up this important issue.
Dear Chris,
Thank you for listing the important reference points for the layman
facilitator. I'm a layman facilitator, have been hiding behind your group to
learn from your postings. I want to take this oppertunity to thank those that
I'm not able to address now.
I'm glad that I have been observing and practising Pt. 1 to 6. And I'll go to
take a First Aid Course and arrange backup from Psychiatric Professionals NOW.
I remember Bert said opening in a conference in China, everyone can facilitate
Systemic Constellation. And I also remember Gunthard Weber's teaching
"Whenever Bert Hellinger's words become rules, I break it!". Both are
important rules for me.
Chris, you probably have more to share for the layman facilitator group. Can
you advise?

Trish it still appears that you are approaching this work cautiously and
responsibly. It sounds like you are getting some sort of training. Regardless
of professional qualifications I believe a number of things help us to become
safer and better practitioners. Some of these are listed below:
Lots of ongoing exposure to the work with plenty of experience as a
representative.
Exposure to a number of different experienced practitioners, so our
understanding and practice is not limited to one person's individual
interpretation of the work.
Participation in peer supervision.
Being open to feedback.
Reading not just constellation material but other stuff too like Virginia
Satir, Carl Whittaker, Murray Bowen
Reflecting on how Constellation theory applies to everyday life, characters
in movies, characters in novels
You want to have some idea if a representative is having a heart attack or a
simple reaction to their role. We need to know how to differentiate and how to
manage basic physical crises. So if you are not a nurse or a doctor first aid
training is advisable.
Have backup from more qualified people when you run a workshop. It may be
useful to have a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse who is available over the
phone if necessary.
Hasta la vista

Dear Chris and Dan,
Thank you for your responses - I will not be actively on-line for a
few days as I am currently in the process of moving. I'll check
back for related messages once I'm settled. Chris, I re-read my
initial message and I now see why you thought I had personally
received advice from Bertold Ulsamer. Unfortunately for me, this
sage wisdom I spoke of was solely through his publications! Perhaps
one day I can say differently...
I'll look forward to checking back in after a couple days. It feels
so much better to have connected with you. Thank you for this group!

Hi Dan & Trish,Even though
I for one, would be interested to hear this conversation online.

subject . I even got a number of people to review these articles. However I
never published them anywhere, because, despite my best efforts Ifelt they
wouldn't be helpful at the time. There just seem to be so manyissues around
this - many of which seem to be at cross purposes.safe
Suffice to say, that I really respect Trish's attitude - making a
environment etc. Some people -including those with professionaltraining -
can be a bit cavalier in this regard. I am really happy Trish, when I hear
you are receiving guidance from such a grounded teacher as BertoldUlsamer.
So I wish you the best of luck in your endeavours.Cohen

Trish - I am a Constellation facilitator in Boston who is quite
with the licensing and liability issues in Massachusetts. Sincethese
concerns vary from state to state and country to country, perhapswe should
pursue our conversation off-line. If you are still around Boston,I'd be
glad to offer you support in launching your practice.on-line.
Write me at Dan@h.... If others want to see these concerns addressed
in the ConstellationTalk forum, speak up and we can stay
in

Subject: [ConstellationTalk] Responsibility and Liability
Thank you all for your candor concerning non-psychologists who are
drawn to this work; as am I. A psychologist with whom I trained
constellations told me that anyone can do this work, but itappears
some opinions on this matter may be less restrictive than others.I
have my first "presentation" (not yet a workshop) in 2 weeks andmy
concern is that I have not the professional (therapeutic) trainingexperience
of others, i.e., psychologists/therapists.
However, I am encouraged by the idea that destiny leads us to do
what we will, and I simply can't set this work aside without
attempting to find my place. I have had preliminary training in
Boston but not to any comparative extent with the qualifications
listed among other professionals. I devour reading materials and
all that I can find on the net. I also believe that life
and desire play their part so I am, as I said, encouraged.for
Could you say something, or direct me to links, which address
responsibility and liability toward providing a safe atmosphere
clients? I have derived so much wisdom from Bertold Ulsamer onthis
topic, and I'm certain many of you have valuable input as well.It
certainly relieves me to know this work will find its ownmy
resolution, but I want to be prepared and responsible insofar as
contribution to that end.Bert
Finally, I read on the posting site a section which referred to
Hellinger stating that if this work stays in the medical field, it
will die. Do you know where I may find further writing on this
issue? I would appreciate any direction and reinforcements at this
very early stage.
Many thanks!
