Greetings from Arizona !
Recent contributions have brought important and highly sensitive issues to
light. As some may know, I have written extensively about the long a
complex ongoing fractal still unfolding as a result of US nuclear policies
and
our relationship to Japan and also our and their responsibilities in
current catastrophes manifesting in Japan which threaten the entire Northern
Hemisphere, at the very least. In Trauma: Time,Space and Fractals I wrote
about these things, and specifically in a chapter entitled The Crane, as
well as an enormously helpful constellation that Sneh Victoria Schnabel did
for Japan during a Bernreid Intensive in 2011. It is just not true that SCW
should be limited to individual and family issues. Bert Hellinger made
that very clear when he expanded his concerns far beyond those highly
artificial limitations. Albrecht Mahr, in my experience, has does done
exceptional
work in these areas which might be called " a systemic approach to
social and political trauma ". I would caution , however, that this is
extremely
slippery territory and no place for even the most well intentioned
novice. And, as in all cross cultural undertakings, humility is essential.
As an historian, social traumatologist and SCW facilitator working
internationally for decades it has become increasingly clear that some issues
are much larger than and also related to the fate of individuals, families,
tribes and nations. Global trauma and the power of " The Greater Forces" is
very real and deserving of our attention and unfortunately for all, this
also includes nuclear disasters that threaten our planet, as well as each
and every one of its precious life forms. And, in my view, we are now facing
( or refusing to face) threats that so clearly involve issues so much
larger than one country, or even one continent ... we are indeed a global
village. Blame and shame have no place here if we can hold out for any hope
of
our collective survival.
Warm Regards,
