Oprah had a show on last year about sperm donors that was very intersting. A 15
year old girl was told she was conceived using a sperm donor, and afterwards
her parents were able to have two natural children. When she found out, it all
made sense to her because she always felt different from her siblings and had a
difficult relationship with her father. She always felt that she didn't belong,
that something wasn't right. After finding out this information, she felt a
need to contact her bio-dad, and, with the blessing of her parents, she got to
meet him. At first glance they both ran into each others' arms; the recognition
and attraction were there. The first thing he told her was she got his big
feet. She discovered she had inherited lots of his talents, likes and dislikes,
and they have established a loving father-daughter relationship, along with
both their families. The man is married and has children. When he was a student
he donated sperm to help pay his way through college, and could have hundreds
of biological children. He said if others wrote him a letter he would not
choose to meet them because it would take time and emotional energy away from
his own family.
There were more stories on the show, but this is the one that touched me and
related to constellations the most.
