[ddots-l] A MIDI file question

Hello. This question will be simple for a lot of you, but I'm a bit baffled.
If I have, for instance, a recorded MIDI piano track that I'd like to save to
use later, or even some neat drumrolls that I'd like to keep, do I select the
MIDI track, go to Save As, select to save as MIDI file, and where do I put
this? Is there a certain folder to save these types of MIDI files? And later
on, when I want to bring these stored MIDI notes back into another project, how
do I do this? I know this entire process is simple probably, but I'm not so
sure on how to do it. any help would be appreciated. SLB
