Hi:

I have the ProjectMix and it works fine. It has 9 motorized faders and 8
assignable knobs which you can use to control different parameters. It can
control 8 tracks at a time. It has buttons for selecting, recording, muting,
and soloing each track. I think it also has some preset mappings for
controlling some of the plugins included in Sonar but I have not used those.

It's a nice unit with great sound. It has 8 1-4 and xLR inputs in the back
plus one 1-4 instrument input in the front. The preamps sound good in my
opinion, but I do not have experience with other units to compare with the
ProjectMix. It also has two headphone outputs in the front with their own
volume control.

I have not gone into the ProjectMix control panel itself, so i do not know how
accessible it is, but then, since the ProjectMix is operating on Sonar mode, I
have not had the need to make any changes in the control panel.

Good luck.

Hi Henrik!
have you ever heard about a unit called project mix? it's like a control
surfous which you can use for recording, playback, and so on, it also has
motorized faders so that you can use it within sonar to control the E-Q and
effects parameters. I have a friend who has one and he recommended me to take a
look at it.
I know that Dancing Dots are selling those.

Hi there. I'm thinking of geting some kinda mixing desk with motorized faders
that I could use for controling the mixer and eq in Sonar. How does the
V-studio 700 work? Is it easy to use if you're blind?
Any other suggestions for what to check out? I've heard that Behringer has a
cheap one but I dont know much about it.
